A lovely plant for shaded to part sun areas! These plants provide a focal point when used in landscapes and gardens. 'Honey bells' host are able tolerate the sun which accentuates the leaves glossy texture. The leaves are slightly wavy and turn downward. Lavender flowers appear in late summer on 40" scopes. Large leaves provide excellent coverage for dying foliage. With their subtle colors, tall flower scopes and broad leafs bring versatility in the landscape. Honey bells is a longtime favorite among perennial gardeners. Large mounds of Host are not only beautiful as borders and in gardens, but also great to use in floral arrangements as filler. Host grows best in moist, well-drained highly organic soil. This host will bloom in late summer. Hoists are low maintenance and easy to grow. Clip back in late fall or early spring. When planting space the plants 36 - 48" apart. Plant in medium wet, well-drained soil. Prefers part shade to light sun. Hardiness zone 3 - 9.
